In India there is a bigger need for advocacy for behavioral patterns change,especially in rural or among deprived Indians. Nearly 90% population have the fear of dental treatments. Due to which, regular dental check ups are ignored. This notion is observed even in the highly educated, urban population. The scenario in rural areas is compounded with other socio-economic problems. According to a survey, most population visit a dentist barely once in their lifetime. Hence, its become the need of the hour to have a paradigm shift in this attitude towards oral health.
