Improving Geriatric Oral Health
As a result of advances in public health and medical field, the life expectancy
of the humans has increased in India. Developing countries provide residence to
two-thirds of the world's elderly population. Therefore, the policy makers should
consider this vast population, who will be in demand of health services including
oral health as the age progresses.
Government of India has to ensure that every elderly individual receives quality
oral health care and that too at an affordable cost. IDA’s community centers cater
to these needs of the geriatric population. We aim to provide oral rehabilitation
to the elderly, thereby restoring their functional lifestyle.
